Dear Readers, Happy Valentine's Day! #2

Dear readers,
It's the month of love! I've always loved Valentine's Day, single or in a relationship Valentine's Day can be so much fun.
For the last two years I spent Valentine's day single. One year I had a Valentine's breakfast with my best friend before heading off to work and last year I ordered dominoes, painted my nails, put on a movie and blogged. This year will be a little different though as I've got someone special to share it with, and that someone has made plans for us, which I'm super excited to share with you in another post later on. However, I just wanted to share with you some love this month! There's someone out there for all of us and it's better to be living your life to the fullest single than to be tied down in a relationship with a person who's wrong for you.
I spent a lot of my time in my teens desperate to find someone to love me the way my parents did at my age but it just ended up with crappy relationships, toxic ex's, countless teary nights and some bad mistakes, since then I feel like I've grown a lot as a person and my relationships no longer define me.

I've suspended my studies at University

In September 2015 I started my Business Management & Human Resource Management degree in Swansea University, a couple of months later I decided that that particular course was not one I wanted to continue with and then started the breakdown of my life, 'What am I going to do?

#OOTD Plain Jane featuring The Perch

Following my Green Goddess OOTD post I did a few weeks ago in Swansea City Centre with the squad we decided to look for an alternative location, we contacted The Perch in Swansea, a lovely little cocktail bar opposite walkabout with some fantastic decor that I've used for three separate outfit shoots (Keep your eyes peeled). The Perch also has a Valentine's speed dating event coming up on Valentine's Day which sounds like so much fun! Cocktails and speed dating? What could go wrong! More information coming up in my Date Night Outfit post!

Meet The Squad

Blogging has proved to be invaluable to me, not only giving me extra money, somewhere to write my thoughts but also surprisingly a vital tool for my social life. Since I started blogging years ago I have attended events and made some fantastic friends, but there are four special people who have become my best friends, meet (left to right) Charlotte, Lottie, (Me), Holly and Neesha. (Photo taken from our day out taking outfit pictures, see the posts here and here.)

TGI Friday's Swansea Review

Ever wondered what happens when a group of bloggers meet up for lunch? Well, it starts with some outfit photos, some product and brand discussions, lunch, shopping and then an emotional goodbye until the next time. Our restaurant of choice on this occasion was TGI Friday's, Lottie and I had never been to a TGI's before so we were excited to see what Charlotte, Holly and Neesha were fussing about.

The Best iPhone Apps

1. Domino's Pizza App
This app has combatted my hunger on many occasions, coming back from work or university I've often ordered a pizza, the app makes it quick and easy where ever you are to eat. Just be careful not go over the top, apparently three Domino's in one week is not acceptable.

Why the world is a better place when your nails are painted

Sometimes everything becomes a little bit too much, everything spirals out of control a little bit, you can't tell your clean laundry from your dirty laundry on the floor of your room, that skirt you really wanted to wear to work today is no where to be found, some of your favourite make up items have gone missing and you don't know if it's been borrowed by your sister or if it was left on the floor and the cat has been playing with it and swooped it under the chest of drawers. You can't remember the last time you washed your hair but you do remember the last time you shaved your legs and your pretty sure it was back in 2015, you feel like you have no time, but in reality you have plenty of time but there's not much you can do when you're lying awake at 3am.

How to make periods a little bit better

Since I hit puberty and had my first period I have had terrible period pain, by my second year in Secondary School I was missing so much school due to the horrific pain I was experiencing I was marched to the doctors to start trying a range of different contraceptives to try and help. I've tried most pills but none of them seemed to work for me, so I settled for the injection (even though I hate injections). Thankfully the injection didn't just take away my period pain it took away my periods. I'm proud to say I had not had a painful period in four years until November. I had been off the injection since April and been given tablets to take to America with me and had kept up with the tablets until October where I stopped taking them, meaning by mid November I was bent over the toilet in agony throwing up.

20 Things I've Discovered in 20 Years

On October the 23rd 2015 I turned twenty, to me that's terrifying. I would prefer to stay between eighteen and twenty-one forever. Since turning twenty I've been thinking about all the things I've learnt about this crazy world and surviving in it.

January: Spending Ban

I have a confession, my name is Ffion and I am a compulsive spender.

It no longer matters how much money I make or how much time I have, I always seem to be able to empty my bank account every month. Reasons for this range from my Amazon addiction (and my Amazon Prime membership), my love of takeaways (and eating out) and finally my need to treat myself after a particularly hard or stressful day (which is pretty much everyday). Whilst looking for ideas on how to save money I remembered a common blogger concept 'The Spending Ban' and after reading this post, decided to give it a go.

Dear Readers, Happy New Year! #1

Dear Readers,

Happy New Year! It is now officially 2016 and we've got a lot of work to do making sure it's a fantastic year for all of us.
I welcomed the New Year sick in bed after a horrendous Eve of New Years Eve night where I thought I'd broken the bonds between my family and I and on New Years Eve day where I was homeless for a couple of hours and was unsure where the hell I was going to spend New Years Eve, thankfully I'm in my own bed and have managed to repair some of the bonds broken between my family and I.

I like the concept of a New Year, New Me but I also like the concept of making the up and coming year the best one yet, so below are five ways to make 2016 your year!
